life with Owl Emerson has certainly seen its share of excitement. The book does a good job of showing how the poor and uneducated lived in the early part of the twentieth century and not a lot has changed for many even now. Melanie schwapp is awesome. It gives such a rich feeling of what it was like to be a teenager in the 1960s in middle class white America.
