The Fae are not new to me, from Seelie to Selkie and back again, but I couldn’t be happier with Jessica’s take on the fairy realm. After all, the victim was ninety. The writing and illustrations really helped put you right in the mystery with Brooke and Eva. It's also a good book for encouragement in homeschooling efforts and suggests some reasons to consider homeschooling. Sometimes this might be annoying, but I really liked the way I gradually learned the whole story and the way the characters were built and handled their various issues. She spent 90% of the book in dry technical descriptions of psychic theory, another 5% referencing every character she's ever written about (it seemed). And again, as the decision to be happy is solely yours, live your life to the fullest. Some books are good to take on vacation but this book takes you on the vacation. Petersburg seems to contain enough maps and information to make our tour successful and helpful.
